Designed for school leavers across Sydney's West, a-GAPe Challenge is a gap year bridging the transition from school to an apprenticeship, higher education, full time work, or whatever else life brings.
Our vision is to see healthy churches in the Western Region and beyond.
Our Values
GOSPEL FOCUSED
We centre everything we do on the good news of Jesus—seeking transformed hearts, godly character, being missionally driven, and having a lifelong commitment to Christ and his Church.
LEADER DEVELOPMENT
You will increase in confidence and capacity to serve Christ and his people—through discipling others, sharing the gospel, and leading in a range of contexts in your home church, local school, and broader community.
PARTICIPANT SHAPED
a-GAPe Challenge is tailored for you. Ministry placements, mentoring, and mission experiences are designed to grow your gifts, convictions, and readiness for adulthood and gospel service.
CHURCH BASED
We work in partnership with the local church—equipping young adults to serve faithfully where they are known and loved. Your involvement in weekly church ministry is protected, supported, and strengthened throughout the program.
LOW COST
We keep our program affordable and accessible, allowing you to pursue part-time work alongside your training. Where possible, we encourage pathways where you will work in Christian environments like your former school.
