Gail Oakey - Coordinator
Gail brings invaluable ministry experience having served as a staffworker with the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF), and with St Michael’s Bishops Itchington as part of Careforce UK - an evangelical organisation helping young people volunteer and serve in ministry settings. Serving as the key parent contact and in pastoral care and teaching, her passion for nurturing young adults in their faith journey ensures that each participant feels supported and encouraged.
Jared Bartlett - Administrator
Jared is a strong advocate for school leaver GAP years, having loved his GAP year connected with the school from which he graduated. He serves in Youth and Adults ministry in his local church setting, has completed studies at Youthworks College, and now works both in church and school settings. He is an IT wiz, and loves getting alongside the participants of a-GAPe Challenge.
Nick Lindeback - Director
A ministry focused gap year was a game changer for Nick and “one of the best decisions” of his life. Having previously worked as a Christian Studies teacher and later as the Coordinator of Christian Education at Thomas Hassall Anglican College, he has a passion to see young people know and love Jesus. Now in church ministry, Nick is excited to be able to offer a new generation the same opportunity he had - a ministry gap year with exceptional teaching, embedded in the local church.
Julie Haddon - PTC Co-ordinator
Julie brings invaluable experience both in mission (with CMS in Chile) and in teaching the Preliminary Theological Certificate. Having graduated from Sydney Missionary and Bible College (Grad. Dip. Divinity), she continues to teach PTC - as well as mark PTC exams - in both English and Spanish in various contexts. As the PTC co-ordinator, Julie leads the teaching of the three PTC units at a-GAPe Challenge, helping participants to grow their Gospel convictions and their theological foundations.
Ken Noakes - Director
Ken is passionate about raising up Christian leaders and helping people grow in their love for Jesus – and he has done that teaching the Bible in various locations around Australia, India, or Africa. Ken is a Western Sydney pastor and sees the importance of discipling young adults for mission and ministry leadership in their local church and school contexts.
